Not my initial pov, but a relay could offer this service if the protocol support a "translation" tag. Of course can be used by clients too: a user could compose more notes translated (even manually) and link them together, the receiving client shows one (default or matching the client lang) and the offer direct access to the translations.
Useful for a medium-style use case.
