Nature is a separate entity, even for people who are fanatical about saving her. The idea that we are just one part of a greater system seems to be missing. I think of it as an innate connection that we are one and the same. I really appreciate how Robin Wall Kimmerer talks about this very topic in her intro to Braiding Sweetgrass.
