I WhatsApp my mum quite a lot. Just lately, it’s on a daily basis with photos of the building work.
When I select a photo, various options for things I might like to do with it pop up, including the names of people I frequently message. A woman in the village, with whom I have exchanged approximately six messages in the last week about giving her a microwave for her next Ukraine run, and a random Australian who stayed with me for the night a few months ago (and with whom I have exchanged about two messages since) appear on this list. My mum does not.
Make it make sense?
