Between Twitter not paying its rent, Reddit in the midst of a civil war with its jannies, and YouTube implementing adblock crackdowns, I think we're finally seeing the writing on the wall for the big tech/VC-funded Internet enterprises that we've been using for the past 10+ years. They were never profitable, and they never will be profitable. The people who owned them though that one day the ad-supported model would finally start to make financial sense, but it never did.
