These studies almost hurt to read in how obvious the results are. The most fundamental problems in our world can be solved by a child who has learned basic arithmetic. But the courage to trust strangers on the other side of the world, knowing one has exploited them for centuries, is what appears to be lacking, and surely it won't come easily.
