Book bannings in schools mostly make no sense. The kids and teens should decide if they want to read it, it makes less sense they ban fiction books. The only type of books that should be banned in schools is "how to build a bomb" or "how to kill people". If a kid wants to go to the school's library and read a religious book, anti-religious book, or lgbt book I don't see an issue with this.
