Curator of Mastodon.art fediblock :newt: (npub1wc2…4sk7) well.. proton is one. also wayland does fixes a lot of issues, but it also lacks in a couple of areas and sometimes those discussions are not healthy and due to that also don't make much progress there.
Sticking with X11 is also not a viable alternative due to technical debt and limitations.
