If you’ve discussed your workload with a person who assigns work to you, and they already know and have acknowledged that you are overloaded, is it appropriate to ask them:
“OK, if you want me to do [additional thing], what thing that I’m already doing should I stop doing to make time for it?”
If that’s too passive-aggressive, what’s a better approach?
