Let's not mince words. Voters picked Trump knowing that he is similar to Hitler.
I don't think voters have the historical understanding to make that kind of connection. Worse, they don't understand how the country works. They see high grocery prices, conclude that that's Biden's fault because the man on the TV and everyone on the internet told them it was, then they use that as an excuse to not support the woman of color.
Their stupidity is functionally indistinguishable from evil.
