I found some people telling me to use the Writer2xhtml plugin. I tried that and a few different settings trying to get clean HTML out of it and it was largely similar to the same stuff that LibreOffice produces generally.

If it was me, I would use Pandoc since I already have that installed and know how to use it. It's a very powerful tool but it's too complicated for me to casually recommend it to anyone else.

Here's some working steps I discovered which don't require you to install or learn anything new:

In the File menu, choose Save As
From the filter, choose HTML Document (Writer) (.html)
Copy the contents of the resulting file into HtmlWasher and click the Wash button
