We live in hard times. Most of my closest friends are in polycrisis.
I would like to be a supportive friend but I'm living in isolation, un/undersupported, and dealing with polycrisis myself. I cannot take on the burden of everyone else's trauma and hardship, not when I'm living like this.
I wind up withdrawing from people I care about because it's overwhelming. I miss my friends. But I have to survive.
