Doesn't seem like journalists are taking to Mastodon enough to provide a reasonable alternative to X. As much as I'd like to see that happen, I understand the pressure inherent in satisfying an employer's objectives to be seen and read.

In lieu of X's demise into press abuse & misinformation, the other obvious network is Threads & Instagram.

Threads is "threadbare" as far as feature goes, but Meta's a big company that employers understand & respect.
