I think there is: one is designed for worldwide scale (bitcoin) and the other is designed for central control (monero)

For similar reasons to why I don't use monero: I think it's bad money that is designed for central control. Both allow ever-growing block sizes with no cap and both have permanent inflation. They are also both slower, more expensive, and less private than lightning.
