Had a customer with a pet iguana. The lizard liked to sit on top of the cable box because it was warm. He wasn't housebroken. When the thing would die the customer (who was also a drug addict) would scream at the call center personnel and demand someone come out.. and restore the shows recorded on her now dead DVR.

I had to swap the box out. Needless to say it rode in the back of the truck, not the front seat.

After two or three of these calls, security got involved.
