So road user charges come in from April. In my plug in hybrid, I have to pay for RUC per 1000km travelled. But if I am running on petrol, I have to pay twice. Apparently there will be some form of process where I get back my tax spent on petrol. (I cannot imagine how they can manage that fraud-fre, ie without people using their mates’ petrol receipts etc?)
I wonder if this is a death knell for PHEVs?
