Just found out that a lifelong friend is in kidney failure and has been moved to comfort care. Sent him a message. It's so hard to know what to say. We both know the outcome is certain but I don't want to send a 'goodbye' message. I just want him to know I'm thinking about him if I can't make it up to see him in time.
