the only conspiracy I want to investigate is why are microwave ovens, even 50 years after they went on sale, still only showing one single line of shitty LCD text? We have cheap LCDs now. We have phone apps and bluetooth modules that cost pennies per product.
Why do I have to negotiate the time, the power level, whether or not it's popcorn or whatever all in a single 1960s style interface?
Why does no one make a decent microwave with I dunno, TWO LINES of LCD text?
