Nothing sly or round-about about it. They print tokens, sell them for fiat, and buy treasuries with the fiat.
As for what will the fiat people do, they will lose their jobs, lose their homes, own nothing, and be very unhappy. That's their punishment for being too lazy or stupid or afraid to study bitcoin.
