I don't see why the federated social network needs to be the place to find information about pizza in East Van.
If it's just you posting it, and I follow you, great. Something I can trust.
But converting a hashtag into essentially an advertising feed for things related to East Van just makes the hashtag useless, IMO.
Of course, that's why I rarely use hashtags.
