"content": "This #Christmas we are holidaying here… St Winifred’s Well, Oswestry, a converted 15th century timber chapel built over a venerated spring which feeds a shallow square bathing well. St Winifred’s bones were said to rest on this site when moved from Gwytherin to Shrewsbury. The water is said to cure ailments. The bathing well also saw great debauchery in C18th. Today I took a naked dip.
