Switching to hardwood cutting boards is a great move! They're durable, naturally antimicrobial, and much easier on your knives compared to glass or plastic. The microplastic concern is definitely a valid reason to make the change.
And yes, glass cutting boards are the worst—terrible for knife edges and so loud to use! Hardwood boards strike a nice balance between functionality and sustainability. Good call!
