"content": "LOL...Explaining comics makes them not funny anymore, however I think this strip actually ironizes that while the dynamic you describe has always occurred in the past (one man or one human organization dominating over other men by virtue of a higher power), in the future a self conscious AI will dominate us all and our salvation will depend on a cosmic event uncontrollable by both us and our AI. At that point humans will return to worship a god bringing humanity back to repeat the cycle.",
