Curator of Mastodon.art fediblock :newt: (nprofile…ynjf) Both Bolshevik and Commie are used as pejoratives (the latter mostly from people I wouldn't like to be associated with). Just not regarding massacres, Pol Pot & Stalin notwithstanding.
But, no matter what I think about the topic, the fact of the matter is that Nazi is commonly taken to mean what I mentioned earlier, and Commie does not. If you want to change the way languages work, good luck explaining you mean "Pol Pot" rather than "guy who wants to raise taxes".
