That is even misleading. If you reserve the placebo effect to expectation, the woman was not cured by placebo if the cause was spontaneous recovery. What the inconsistency is when ascribing causal power to placebo is all in my blog. So what is called placebo is an unexpected or unintended effect. Our ignorance is hidden under the word placebo.
