Given that my old phone doesn't seem to hold a charge any better despite *theoretically* having had the battery replaced I decided to bite the bullet and get a new one. I did the same thing as I did 5 years ago, and get one of the previous year's flagship phones, one with good cameras. Pixel 9 pro has just come out so I went for the pixel 8 pro which is half the price it was at launch, cost me about the same as my Huawei 5 years ago.
Arrives tomorrow, we'll see how it is.
