If we can’t figure out a way to poll users from across the ‘verse, then maybe all the admins on the fedi admin slack channel or whatever they use for discussion amongst themselves get together and get some agreement one way or the other to ensure that it doesn’t result in mass migration based on federation as people jump instances based on their preferences. I figure they might have a good enough feel for their users that they can represent them well enough.
