This is such a different debate from the one around Trump using songs during political rallies. Nearly all of the recordings are commercially unviable—and in an scratchy, unviable format, at that.
If you listened to them in a physical setting, there would be no complaints and nobody to target. It is, as it always is, an attempt to reshape the rules of play in the digital setting to something more favorable to the content owners.
