I've got something to complement your theory.
Look into the backgrounds of certain figures.
No need to look into every-single-one of them, would be a pointless distraction to do so.
Certain ones are enough, starting with the psychiatrists.
Not the shooter, either, more often than not he's just a pawn or a useful idiot pulled from the fold and sacrificed.
Coincidentally, I would look into the ones that appear most often, or that are named the most, or are referenced the most as "victims", or portrayed in a specific way.
Whats odd about them? somebody ever questioned them openly?
The point of certain "wargames" is to leave you in the doubt AFTER you make your choice.
Its done to test and manipulate the thought process of the subject(s).
