Interestingly in constituencies where the population aged 16-29 is over 20% of the total the Greens saw a rise of around 8.5% in their votes, nearly the same as the decline (8.9%) in votes for Labour.
What this may hint, is that for Labour to secure the votes of the young (and those who will vote for the first time on 2029), the green transition needs to be much more central to Labour's governing project.
when there were fewer 16-29 year olds, Greens' gains were less.
