For at least 1250 years the sole language used for the Scriptures was Hebrew. God chose for His Church and all Old Testament saints after Abraham to utilize Hebrew. At the very least it must be a factor in Bible translation. I'm not saying every Christian should learn it, but it is the task of the Church today to use it for the OT as much as we do Koine for the NT.
