The universe (as presently configured) is fault-tolerant, at least on a human scale. Nothing we can do is likely to fuck it up on a cosmological scale.
The Sun, ditto. The Earth, likewise. These things are so big that trying to affect them is like a gnat trying to hold back a jet airliner.
