I use to be an Adam Curtis fan when I was younger. It is a very interesting series. As I get older though, I do think he gets some things wrong. He couldn't comment on the truth of 9/11, even if he believed it, because it is a BBC series.
But he talks about how the Soviets and communism were not threats. They absolutely were threats, but he's right in the actions the US took didn't really do anything to curb those threats. The things he highlights like Team B and the Neo-conservatives did make up non-existent boogieman. They also turned some of these minor things, such as radical Islamist, into larger threats than they would have been, by meddling in their affairs, funneling them guns, destroying democracies and installing corrurpt leadership.
There is a lot to his documentaries that's though provoking, but a lot that isn't quite right in retrospect.
