Don't underestimate our ancestors. Those grannies were once young and they kept a clean house.

I still got to help my grandma out, on the island, hand washing during winter. All water heated by fire and drawn manually from a well. That's over three decades ago but the huge fire place cooker is still there. Ray to be of use.
