Mass adoption of Bitcoin means a mass dilution of the Bitcoin ethos as a percentage of HODLers. Being forced to buy something or being financially ruined is not an experience that is likely to enlighten most laggards. I imagine it will make them angry. Most people hate being forced to do something when they don't understand why they need to do it.

The obvious financial benefit of mass network adoption versus the percentage of people actually in it for the freedom becoming miniscule is tough for me to be excited about.

When the masses come in, the ideals go out. Tell me I'm wrong, I want to be wrong.
