Cities can be great when they're not shitty American cities. The Anglosphere bulldozed and legislated its cities to death so that Boomers and their parents could pretend to be wealthy in some distant suburb while still keeping their high-paying city job. Add on decades of the most ass-backwards, hamfisted legislative efforts to fix perceived problems and you have the modern American city: noisy, polluted, congested, expensive, and yet strangely dead.
