Well, managed to get out of work this afternoon. Just not enough students at tutoring, so I gave the boss an out and said I was cool with staying home. She took me up on it.
Now I gotta get water, sunscreen, mosquito spray, and lace up my heavy work boots. I've got 6 hours of heat and daylight to put a dent in that crazy tall grass outside. FINALLY dried up just enough that I can mow and not get stuck (weeks of rain following Hurricane Beryl and all, needed nearly a week to dry it all out).
