Emerging briefly from power-minimizing, heat-wave-hunkering-down to see that Yellowknife (in northerly Canada, which even my wildfire-enlightened mind has trouble processing) is under evacuation and the central part of my Pacific Northwest state is inundated with smoky/smoggy air. It really seems like the milder, "normal" summers are the outlier now.
