`local` means events stored in database but NOT on relay. The opposite, `remote` means events stored on relay and not in database. I'll adj. docs to make this clear
Good idea, I missed to add send failures. But, the receive failures are currently not possible to known, error regarding receive failures are only logged (this could be a thing to improve). For example, if the event received is too big, will logged a message but no error is returned. Checks for received events are done here: https://github.com/rust-nostr/nostr/blob/d244d10f53bf0ad2a1e84fffdf658c84d7bcce0c/crates/nostr-relay-pool/src/relay/internal.rs#L799-L999
