People have been incredibly negative about Babyfur.ME and I don't get it. 
It's run by community members you can just reach out and talk to, it's not some corporate-run entity. Not purging exif data is a pretty easy mistake to make, and wording a ToS is difficult (it's why I just use the boilerplate Mastodon one). Don't attribute to malice what you can attribute to members of your own community making silly mistakes. 
There are things I don't like about SocialEngine, sure, but there's plenty of things I don't like about Mastodon and I'm still here running this place.
