Monero will never see enough demand to need it...but also simuiltaneously doomed to fail because it's impossible for the base chain to scale. Sounds like it will continue to work fine, or be such an overwhelming success that it supposedly won't scale. What a great problem to have.
And Bitcoin is about 15 years behind in privacy tech. Catch up. Even LTC has better privacy than you guys with MWEB.
Lightning is your best attempt at an L2 and all that has managed to do is increase complexity so that 90%+ of users are on custodians.
