There's a reason the US systematically dismantles countries' ability to feed themselves. There's a reason Hawaii only grows 10℅ of the food it eats. There's a reason the Commerce Clause of the Constitution is used so predictably against the states. There's a reason the EU started with a common market.

If you love your country, your state, your province, your town - you must oppose any outsiders regulating your markets.
