The tomb is the ultimate prison. This could be a physical place, but I think not.

If so, this is a plea for the ultimate reassurance. What of "Death"? If you are alive in this tomb, then it is a form of living death you experience. The trade, then, is the internalising of the positive emotion and experience of the intervention of the person of whom you speak, in exchange for consigning pain to oblivion.
