regarding the (very epic and based) killing of that insurance CEO, people seem to focus predominantly on health insurance providers denying claims to insured beings, thereby causing their deaths. I'd like to offer another group of victims here: people who were never insured to begin with. I had a friend who died of operable liver problems, in a hospital bed, because he didn't have health insurance. he was denied treatment because he couldn't afford insurance. the motives and mechanics are the exact same: capitalist profit seeking in the context of institutional power that exists to facilitate it.
