I was regularly scolded as a child for daydreaming -- staring through the window at school and wishing I were out there as opposed to in here.

But daydreaming is a way of counteracting boredom, finding solutions to challenges, mentally bringing ourselves to a place we would rather be. And it is the first step, I believe, in getting there.
