Three-act structure
I definitely don't set out to use it on purpose, but it still appears anyway. It's the most common way for people to tell a story and, to me, it seems like it broadly is how people understand/follow a story. Would be interested to hear from others on if their cultural stories follow the three-act arc!
Maybe I'm wrong and don't understand other act structures -- please feel free to chime in -- it seems to me that overall, the three-act is hidden in every other structure. Unless you don't resolve the tension or just skip over something entirely. Again, willing to be wrong! Looking forward to reading everyone else's replies through the day and learn more!
