Also that the media and capitalists exist as they are with the permission and blessing of the electorate.
I don't know if popular consensus is the right way to run things, but it's what we say we're doing.
The alternative is pointing at some other arbitrary group while saying "it wasn't me." I hope we're trying to get away from that.
