For the first time in a *very long time*, I’m about to quit a book I’m reading. Can’t stand the prose, the point of view, how unnecessary it is, how creepy and inappropriate the author’s depictions often are. A master in tautology by proxy of a thesaurus.
Rumaan Alam’s “Leave the World Behind” is a waste of time that should have been a short novella (probably bad as well) instead of a bloated, insignificant, and nonsensical waffling about nothing.
Even writing a review about it is boring.
