Mastodon is (as far as, I'm aware) free from conspiracy nut jobs, science deniers, flat earthers, moon landing deniers, antivaxxers, trolls, racists and their cult ilk. It just has nice, sensible, harmless people.

The other place, however, is full of the above sewer dwellers and Elton may want his sinking platform to be subscription only. Why would I want to pay to be subject to constant garbage and abuse?
