In a moment of ferocious austerity across the entire state, the only budgets that increase are Security, Defence and Intelligence. Funds reserved for intelligence are huge, discretionary and secret.There are these local groups who suspiciously oppose our country modernising its armed forces, protecting the border, exploiting natural resources, developing industry, &c.
There's a minor detail about all of these having in common being partly funded by the British embassy.
Libertarians insist the British are involved in this subversion process. I didn't believe them, but I'm beginning to notice.
