From my brief look in the last day or so...

If someone really liked state of Twitter in 2020, I'd have to say Bluesky is definitely the best option right now.

It is not at the same scale as Twitter (maybe nothing ever will be again), but it has all the pros and cons of Twitter back then.

Including the chance it all turns to rubbish and you have to start again.
